Join M’tucci’s for an unforgettable, luxury experience in Tuscany. Hunt truffles with a truffle dog in a Tuscan forest, explore the famous Carrara Marble Quarry, and visit the shop and restaurant of famed celebrity chef and butcher Dario Cecchini. Sample the renowned wines from the Chianti, Montalcino and Super Tuscan regions, while indulging in multi-course meals at the locations and restaurants that inspired the M’tucci’s chefs during their 2019 visit to the area.
When Jeff, Katie and John opened the first M’tucci’s in 2013, their goal was to embrace the Italian mantra of living “la dolce vita” (the sweet life). After they sent four chefs and photographer, Michael Lewis, to Tuscany in 2019, Jeff talked about creating an experience like this for our guests. This tour was inspired by their travels and will take you to many of the same places that they loved on that trip. We will focus on the popular Chianti region south of Florence, Western Tuscany on the Mediterranean Sea, and the mountain area north of Pisa.
Our two luxury villas in Tuscany feature modern, private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, lovely grounds, common areas and an in-ground swimming people. The villas will be exclusive to our group.
We'll keep the kitchens stocked with beer, wine, Aperol and prosecco!
Villa One: Set in the heart of the wonderful area of the South coast of Tuscany, where great wines like Sassicaia, Ornellaia and many others are produced, this fabulous 7BD - 7BA villa dates back to the XIX century and is strategically located, close to fantastic beaches and the historic village of Bolgheri.
Villa Two: Set in a truly one-of-a-kind location, the villa was originally the farmers' house on Princes Corsini's Le Corti estate. Today this charming Tuscan farmstead is a luxurious country residence, perfectly refurbished, cared for in every detail and with every comfort. The magnificent garden will allow you to take long, unforgettable walks without ever leaving the property.
The large swimming pool with wood deck overlooks the vineyards and includes a large solarium to enjoy the warm summer days in the utmost privacy. The garden also features a wonderful stone terrace with pergola and barbecue; overlooking the Chianti vineyards, the terrace is perfect for eating al fresco or for private events.
The interiors have been designed to offer maximum comfort and relaxation.
Most meals (including wine) and ground transportation are included. Breakfasts will be served in our villa every morning and will consist of a buffet with coffee, juice, fruit, pastries, local cured meats and cheeses.

Join us at M’tucci’s Bar Roma for an evening of Italy with charcuterie boards, M’tucci’s Private Label wine, to learn more about the trip, and watch a photo presentation and talk by Michael. Date to be announced soon.
If this is your first visit to Italy or Tuscany, Michael recommends arriving a few days before our tour, in case flight connections go bad. Consider staying a few days after our tour to explore other parts of Italy. Michael and Jennifer plan on arriving in Florence on the 23rd and highly recommend that you also arrive on the 23rd, so we are all in Florence for our departure on the 24th.
We can also provide travel suggestions for Venice, the Ligurian Coast (Cinque Terre) and Puglia. The most likely port of entry will be Fiumcino Airport (FCO) near Rome. We must caution you that stays in Rome during 2025 will be very popular and likely more expensive due to the Catholic Church’s Jubilee year. An extra 2 million visitors are expected to visit the Eternal City and to Vatican City. Other potential gateway cities with direct flights to Florence are Milan, Venice, Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid and London.
There is an express train that leaves the airport and goes directly to Rome’s Termini train station where you can catch a high speed express to most of Italy’s major cities. Trains leave for Florence nearly every hour (1hour 36 minutes), Venice (4 hours) or Naples (1 hour 10 minutes). There are frequent flights to cities from FCO, however, we are huge fans of Italian trains and not big fans of Italy’s budget carrier, ITA, Italian Airways.
